Jim McDaniel, married Maude Clampett. The McDaniel family lived north of Bogue, KS, and in 1922 when Mrs. Elsie McDaniel married Addison N. Young, they moved to his home in Bogue. (Bogue is located in Graham Co, just a few miles west of Rooks Co.)
James "Jim" William McDaniel was born 13 Oct 1890 in Logan Co, OK. In 1897 the McDaniel moved to the Spring Creek community, Graham Co, KS, north of Bogue. He married Maude 23 Sep 1912, I don't know where.
Jim died 24 Jan 1914 at Webster, Rooks Co, KS, of acute diabetes. He was buried at Webster cemetery. Many years later when the Webster dam was built the cemetery had to be moved so his mother had his grave moved to Roscoe cemetery, near Spring Creek, Graham Co. (By the way, Webster is just a few miles east of Bogue--maybe 12 miles.)
Here is Uncle Jim's obituary:
Obituary
James William McDaniel was born near Guthrie, Okla., October 13, 1890 and died at Webster, Kansas, on January 24th, 1914, aged 23 years 3 months and 11 days. He was married to Maude Clampett, at Stockton, Kansas, Sept. 23, 1912. He is survived by wife, mother and father, five sisters, five brothers and a host of relatives and friends. He has been sick for some time but was improving and able to be out again and hitched up his mules and drove into the country several miles to see a party and in doing so caught cold and took a backset which resulted in his death. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, at Webster, conducted by Rev. W. A. Perkins and the remains were laid to rest in the Webster cemetery.
